WAVELAND -- Olive Rosalee Rogers, 56, a resident of the Waveland and Freedom communities since 1938, died Tuesday evening in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville after a three-week illness. She was a member of the Waveland Methodist Church. Mrs. Rogers was a 1938 graduate of Hume (Ill.) High School. She was born in Hume on Jan. 16, 1920, a daughter of Ray H. and Clara Newport Ewell. She married Paul Rogers on Feb. 13, 1941, at Waveland. Surviving are the husband; her mother of Waveland, and a sister, Mrs. Dean (Lois) Strohm of Rockville. She was preceded in death by a sister. Services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday in Machledt & Servies Funeral Home with the Rev. Steven Fuchs officiating. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday.
